How to Live the Life of Your Dreams - Part 3

Are you looking for motivation to empower your dreams? If it is yes, then read this article today; it will give you the tools that you need to make your dreams a reality. Here are the steps that will facilitate your journey:
(A) Write down your dreams for home, travel, money, family, dream car etc.
(B) Create your dream board and visit it several times a day.
(C) Commit yourself to implement your action plan.

First - Write down your dreams for home, travel, money, family, dream car etc. Create a mental picture of your dreams, decide what is it that you would love to do in life, and take time to prioritize your dreams. Do not let anyone or anything limit your dreams. I always ask God for help, but I do not allow anyone else to tell me what I should do in life. This is no body's life, but yours; therefore, you are the only one responsible for your success.

Second - Create your dream board and visit it every day. Most of us have things that we would love to do such as a dream home, a luxury car, a world tour, or to earn large sums of money. A dream-board or vision board comes very handy. It is a collection of very specific pictures glued to a cardstock or poster board that serve as a graphic reminder of your dreams.
If you want to create a good durable dream board you can:
  1. Buy a large cardstock (or a foam board if you like). Your cardstock can be of any color; pick the color that you like most and go for it.
  2. Get special magazines that focus on travel, cars, and money. In these magazines you can find pictures and words to represent your dreams; use anything that will motivate you to pursue your dreams.
  3. Buy glue or something to hold the pictures in the cardstock.
  4. Divide your cardstock into five or six sections and group related things together in each section. This will help you to recall them in your mind when you are away from it.
  5. Get a set of large chip board letters to write your name in the center of the board. You can also use smaller letters to write the titles of each section.
  6. Carefully glue each picture or word in the appropriate section. You are almost there. Be proud of yourself, you are doing a good job in setting this up to help you to take actions on your dreams.
Third - Commit yourself to implement the actions that you have set up. It is not enough to write on a paper and hope that it will materialize. You make them work, even if it means making some sacrifices. You will have to sacrifice some movies, ball games, etc. Use the time to work on your action plans; you can do some of these things later on. This is the last article on this series, although other articles will be coming shortly.
