If you are looking for an action plan for success, then you should read this article now. Our purpose is to shows you how you can make a Road Map for Success, and what type of information should be in it.

Have you ever wondered why people give up pursuing their dreams? The reason is that most people do not have a genuine written down plan. They have no idea of what to do next, and are not prepared for the journey. Researchers in 1953 found that only 3% of the graduating students at Yale had written down their goals.

After 20 years those 3% were worth more than the other 97%. This is amazing, and we should be compelled to write down our dreams and action plans. When you finish reading this article you will be ready to prepare your own road map for success... Prepare, Get set, and Go!

What is a Road map for Success?

It is an organized list of what you need to do to achieve your dreams. It includes your main objective; goals; needs; resources; obstacles; time line; and accountability.

Why a map?

The map tells where you are, where you want to go, and how to get there. It also shows obstacles along the way. Can I just ask questions as I journey to the top? Get your own road map, but remember to take actions.

How to write your road map

1 - Make a decision to be a successful person

William Jennings Bryan said "Destiny is no matter of chance. It is a matter of choice: It is not a thing to be waited for, it is a thing to be achieved." You want to be successful in your chosen career, but did you make a serious commitment to it?

2 - Research your chosen field

Good information prevents you from getting enticed by easy money scam.

3 - Get a mentor

You need to find someone who is honest and have experience. This is better than paying a coach, and you do not pay anything. I had bought many programs, but after a year of searching I found this great program for one time fee of 47 dollars.

Within a week I saw the seriousness of that author, and I adopted that person as my coach. And although I follow three people with the same focus, this particular author is my coach for life, and it is free.

4 - Read the scrip and Make changes to it

It is good to check other people's plan, but learn to evaluate and adapt it, so you can create your own road map.

5 - Establish a Time line

Reaching your goals must not be left to chance; write specific dates to accomplish them. Make a 5 year plan and then break it down by one year, and then six months. Select at least three, but no more than five objectives, and make specific goals for each objective.

6 - Don't forget your tool kit

Always carry a tool kit with you; in it you should always have good attitude, plenty of joy and lots of gratitude. Every day, as soon as I wake up I declare: Thank God, this is a wonderful day; it does not depend on the circumstances, but on my attitude.

7 - Prepare - Get set - Go!

My wife and I help children in a poor area of town. I was looking one day how one of the volunteers decided to do a little game with them. Right before starting he would say: Prepare, Get Set, and Go. They were very excited as they waited for the word GO! When they heard it, they took off with so much energy that no one could stop them for any reason. Do you have the same excitement for achieving your dreams? Go ahead and hit the road.

8 - Become a wise traveler

Some times you must follow a detour sign, and other times you need to make changes. If you need to stop and acquire some skills first, then go ahead and do it now.

9 - Take massive action

Don't just take some actions, but massive actions.

In conclusion
Through out this article I made an emphasis on the importance of a written down road map or action plan for success. Now I would like to encourage you to write your own road map for success. Make sure to include all the needed ingredients. Go for it with commitment, faith, and patience.
